St. Thomas Tropical Paradise: November 5-9, 2015

St. Thomas is a tropical paradise like no other!  The Caribbean island boasts some of the worlds most beautiful beaches…and we’ll be staying on one of them!!!  Join world travelers, and photography instructors, Chris & Cami, as they explore the US and British Virgin Islands, creating beautiful and dramatic images along the way.

St. Thomas is home to the capital of the U.S. Virgin Islands, Charlotte Amalie. It has been the heart of St. Thomas’ activities from colonial times to present. Historic buildings found throughout downtown Charlotte Amalie take visitors back to the Danish era when the town was a bustling port of trade.  The Cyril E. King Airport serves travelers coming into St. Thomas.  St. John, St. Croix, and Water Island complete the territories of the US Virgin Islands.  Points of interest on St. Thomas include everything from Blackbeard’s Castle, Buck Island National Wildlife Refuge, and St. Thomas Synagogue.

The 32 square miles that comprise this island are largely mountainous. Many roads around the island offer terrific panoramic views of the island and ocean. St. Thomas is also a water lover’s paradise. Plan some free time for snorkeling, scuba diving, windsurfing, kite boarding, sailing, fishing, kayaking and parasailing. On land you can take an island tour, check out some attractions, take in the historical sites downtown and do some shopping. In the evening you can hit happy hour at a bar or restaurant, catch some live music and have dinner with a sublime view!

In between the “fun in the sun” and the “happy hour”, our adventures will take us from St. Thomas to St. John to the British Virgin Islands!  We’ll have chartered catamarans and sunset cruises.  But the most important ingrediant is that we’ll be creating AMAZING images in these exotic locations.  From travel and street photograpy, to portraits and fashion photography…we’ll be pushing our cameras to their limits.  Examining our camera settings, demistyfying the technology of wireless flash, mastering all forms of lighting, and streamlining efficient workflow techniques are but a few of the fun topics we will explore throughout our time together.

So check out some of the highlights below.  Then call today to reserve your spot on this Global Photo Adventure!!!  Space is very limited to allow for superior instructor/attendee interaction.
